Wind gusts estimated to be near 80 MPH resulted in a long swath of damage in Greeley and Nance counties. Report from social media noted this swath was approximately 6 to 8 miles wide. Widespread tree damage was reported, including large limbs downed and trunks split, as well as several flipped irrigation pivots. The combination of wind and hail caused widespread crop damage in the area.
The severe thunderstorm which had spawned some brief tornados earlier was to blame for a short path tornado centered about 6 miles north of Greeley. The tornado upset 2 center irrigation pivots and damaged a shelter belt.
A large tree was down, closing a county road. An exact location was not specified. This report was from the Nebraska Rainfall Assessment and Information Network. The time was estimated from radar data.
Thunderstorms produced hail up to golf ball-size at Coatsfield and walnut-size in Greeley as they repeatedly moved across the same area. Nearly four inches of rain fell at Spalding. Thunderstorm winds blew the windows out of a house north of Genoa and blew down trees in Belgrade.
