July 2003	Thunderstorm Wind	Ashland	1 hurt	Thunderstorm winds downed large tree branches in the Thomas Lakes area east of Ashland. One large tree branch fell through the windshield of a truck causing serious, but non-fatal, injuries to a man inside.
May 2015	Flood	Ashland	$500,000	Very heavy rainfall of 4 to 7 inches fell across the Salt Creek River basin on the evening of the 6th into the early morning of the 7th. This led to significant flooding along the creek into the Ashland area. The flooding affected lower lined areas of the south and east side of Ashland, as well as rural areas upstream of town.
June 2008	Flood	Ashland	$275,000	Heavy rain fell across parts of the Wahoo Creek basin on June 4th prompting Wahoo Creek and some of its tributaries, including Sand Creek and Cottonwood Creek, to flood for the second time in a week. Additional rain on June 5th prolonged the flooding along the lower reaches of Wahoo Creek. The flooding was observed from west of Wahoo through the Ithaca area and then to near Wahoo Creek's mouth with the Platte River just northeast of Ashland. County roads in the area and also old Highway 77 and part of Highway 92 were closed for a while due to flood waters. The flooding damaged roads, bridges and guardrails and many culverts were clogged with debris. One bridge was lost and 2 approaches had to be rebuilt. Other flooding included agricultural lands and a park near Wahoo. Wahoo Creek at Ithaca crested at 21.2 feet around 315pm CDT on June 5th, flood stage is 19 feet. The creek at Ithaca fell below flood stage a little after midnight on the 6th. Wahoo Creek near Ashland crested at 19.6 feet at 1pm CDT on June 6th, flood stage is also 19 feet. The creek near Ashland fell below flood stage during the early afternoon hours of June 6th. Additional flooding from Salt Creek in the Ashland area caused a bridge over it in town to be closed for much of Thursday June 5th because of high water and debris. The damage total listed was an estimate just for road and bridge repair.
May 2008	Flood	Ashland	$275,000	Nearly a week of significant rain culminated with heavy rain during the evening of May 29th. This caused Wahoo Creek and some of its tributaries, including Sand Creek, to flood from southwest of Wahoo through the Ithaca area and then to near Wahoo Creek's mouth with the Platte River just northeast of Ashland. County roads in the area and sections of Highways 77 and 92 were closed for a while due to flood waters. Three bridges sustained significant damage including one which collapsed completely. Other flooding included agricultural lands and a park near Wahoo. Wahoo Creek at Ithaca crested at 21.8 feet around 445pm CDT on May 30th, flood stage is 19 feet. The creek at Ithaca fell below flood stage during the early morning hours of May 31. Wahoo Creek near Ashland crested at 19.2 feet at 1215pm CDT on May 31, flood stage is 19 feet. The creek near Ashland fell below flood stage during the early afternoon hours of May 31. Total damages to bridges and road repair amounted to around $275,000 over the county.

October 2008	Flood	Ashland	$25,000	Rainfall of 2 to 3 inches fell across much of Saunders county on 10/21 and 10/22. The heavy rain caused Sand Creek to flood around Wahoo and Wahoo Creek to flood from near Wahoo downstream through Ithaca to around Ashland. Several county roads were flooded in this area as was Highway 92 west of Wahoo and Highway 77/92 near its Jct with Highway 109 east of town. The flooding washed the gravel off of several county roads but otherwise damage was minimal and was restricted to river lowlands.
June 2010	Flood	Ashland	$15,000	Heavy rain on June 20th and 21st caused flooding along Salt Creek from northeast of Lincoln to its confluence with the Platte River northeast of Greenwood. At Greenwood the creek crested at 23.3 feet around noon on the 21st, flood stage is 20 feet. The creek was above flood stage at Greenwood from the morning of the 21st until the late evening of the 21st. Farm fields and county roads near the creek were flooded as were some local ball parks. One of the county roads closed because of flood waters forced the closure of a National Guard Camp for a few days because access to the camp was too difficult.
June 2010	Flood	Ashland	$4,000	Rainfall of at least 3 to 5 inches fell over much central Nebraska the week ending 7am 6/12, with additional heavy rains the following several days. All of this water eventually worked into the Platte River causing it to rise above flood stage from around North Bend downstream to its confluence with the Missouri River. At Ashland the river was above its 20 foot flood stage for most of the period from the evening of 6/11 until the evening of 6/20. The river had a long crest of around 20.8 feet on the 12th through the 14th. Some farm fields and roads were flooded along the Platte River in Saunders county.

This resulted in widespread low-land flooding along the creek from near Ithica to Ashland. The creek crested during the morning on the 7th at 1.64 feet above flood stage at 20.43 feet.

June 2011	Thunderstorm Wind	Ashland	-	Thunderstorm winds estimated at around 70 mph downed dozens of trees or large limbs in the Ashland area including some 2 feet in diameter. Around 40 headstones at the Ashland Cemetery were knocked over by fallen trees or limbs. Some building damage was noted in town as well.

The winds caused major damage to at least one roof in or near Ashland with numerous large tree limbs and a few trees downed from southwest of town into town. The fallen trees damaged several houses and vehicles in the area.

May 2007	Flood	Ashland	-	Rainfall of 3 to 5 inches fell over much of the Salt Creek basin from Friday May 4th through Sunday May 6th. Lincoln reported nearly 5 inches. The heavy rain caused Salt Creek to flood, mainly from around the Greenwood area downstream to where it merges with the Platte River near Ashland. At Ashland the creek surpassed it's 19 foot flood stage around 9 am cdt on May 6th, reached a 20.2 foot crest at 1130 pm and fell below flood stage around 10 am on the 7th.
