UNION SERVICE FOR MEN. On Sabbath afternoon at 2 o'clock a union meeting of men will be held at the United Brethern church. The meeting will be addressed by repre representatives - sentatives representatives of the Laymen Missionay movement who are desirous to ex explain - plain explain to the men the preparation that has been made for the convention soon to be held in the city of Toledo. They come voluntarily without charge to the local churches and no offering will be taken, but all laymen are urged to come and hear them present their subject. At a meeting at 2 o'clock on Sab Sabbath - bath Sabbath afternoon in the Presbyterian church several fine addresses were made on different phases of the Sab Sabbath - bath Sabbath School work. Mrs. Collin, of Bowling Green, spoke on the home department and brought out some very fine thoughts in that connection. The county secretary, who was also present, gave a number of points on the organization's needs, and some things on contact as she had learned them as a teacher. -Rev. Sullivan, of Bowling Green, more than met the expectations of the wise ones in his address on the teacher. Sferling won a verdict for $15,000 Friday in her suit In common pleas court against the Citizens' Alhambra Theatre Com Company, - pany, Company, of Toledo. She was injured internally and blinded in one eye.

FUN FOB TOE WOMEN The other day a coterie of about sixty women gathered at the large residence of Mrs. Ann Kerr. Probably they were as intelligent and intellectual a body of women as ever met in any un unselected - selected unselected or undelegated assembly. These women interest them themselves - selves themselves id religious, civic, social, economic problems and discuss them. So the women of the Rapids should interest themselves in political matters as well.
