The high school and elementary building flank a Civil War monument and are located on a been maintained. Southington Township's elementary building (1906-1907) is a nine-bay asphalt-shingle hip roof rectangular stretcher bond fanlight, the three central bays and it shelters the main entrance, the original double leaf paneled doors with single light and four-light transom.
