Hull house, now the Hancock Historical Museum, is located on West Sandusky Street, one of the earliest streets in Findlay Tare long and narrow double-hung topped by arched, detailed head with keystone. A broad porch, with terrazzo floor, surrounds the south and east sides, style columns. These support a deep frieze, cornice and pediment. Statement of significance

The house was constructed in the early 1880's by Jasper G. Hull, prominent ember 20, 1846. When he was 10 years old, his parents moved to Morrow County, where he received his education and engaged in farming. County in 1867. The family included five daughters. Jasper Hull joined the Farmer's Bank in Findlay, and became its cashier. Several years after coming here, he purchased a half interest in the Findlay Artificial Gas Light Company, which furnished artificial gas for the city. During a substantial natural gas boom in the city, his company put down wells and obtained its supply of gas then from this source, hence participating in the gigantic boom which made the city Harry, continued to live in the residence until the 1930's. .
