Charles Young House(approximately 45 feet). In September 1907, Col. Charles Young purchased two tracts of land, one including the house 1922. It remained in the Young family until the late twentieth century.

In 1974, when the house was listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark (NHL), it was owned by Col. Young's granddaughter and her husband. The justification for the size of the parcel comes from the original NHL nomination form, which determined this was an arbitrary boundary, not based on the size of the farm or acreage owned by the Young family. It appears to have been designed to conform to National Register boundary guidance by including the house and surrounding yard, but excluding additional acreage that did The justification for the southeast side of the boundary being the center point of U.S. Highway pin (found) in the centerline of US Route 42...
