Description of the property

residential, two-story, field stone house with a 1 1/2 story wing attached on the back and terial is natural field stone, rubble squared coursing, for the 2 1/2 story, rectangular, are two first floor windows on either side of a central door, evenly spaced. The roof is supported by hand-hewn rafters connected CHECK ONE XALTERED The basic architectural structure of the house is in good condition.T The restoration The physical appearance at the time of purchase, before restoration was begun: A single, cellar rooms with the same stone wall construction and with an outside entrance on the glass plain panel above two wooden panels.At time of purchase there was a first story brick stack straddle ridge chimney is located on the north side of the house at present.
XFAIR flooring is nailed to huge timbers(some with the bark still attached) with square nails. two small window openings on either side of the south chimney at the attic level. Neither of these windows have panes at this time. Interior:There are 3 rooms on the first floor and 2 rooms with one bath on the second with wooden pegs. The lintels over all the windows and doors are solid oak. There are stairway was to the right of the fireplace on the south wall, spiral in type, and enclosed structural opening,is flat with a 9 stone arch radiating voussoirs with keystone.There XORIGINAL SITE plan is to expose the original structure as part of the decor. south side.The roof over the front rectangular upright section is a medium gable.The Originally, a chimney was also on the south side.
There is a single chimney, also brick beams and the whitewash covering these beams and the boards between the beams. These straddle ridge, over the center of the 1 1/2 back story. The roof trim is raking type probably added in the early 1900's. It has been removed. beams are solid oak and are bordered by lamb's tongue moulding. There has also been uncovered a total of three fireplaces, two downstairs and one upstairs.
