Description of the property

Lima Memorial Building was featured in The Ohio Architect, Engineer, and Builder (magazine) in August, 1911, to illustrate the work of the architectural firm, photo of that year. The building has no additions, but in 1971 all new entrance doors and all that divides at an upper level to form an open ballustraded balcony that overlooks the foyer. A brass, five globed lamp (the other was stolen) rests on the newel post at story entranceway that has dentils and consoles flanking the name, ALLEN COUNTY MEMORIAL. A stage area balcony is reached ,from the upper level, but no permanent CONDITION EXCELLENT DETERIORATED CHECK ONE of relief sculpture are set above the frieze at the corners of the projecting and set above stone label stops to accent the strict symmetry of the facade.
