Further Description of Important Features The main entrance has multi-light transom and side panels. The original porch has been removed from the front and replaced with a smaller porch at the entrance, with Doric columns and entablature. Windows on front facade have entablature, while others have radiating voussoirs. Side entrance on the Hedges Street side has had its porch removed. A one-story frame section has been added in the rear, with shiplap siding. 43. History and Significance This was originally the President's Home, and it was the residence of six of Heidelberg's Presidents, including: George W. Willard, 1868-90; John A. Peters 1890-1901; Charles E. Miller 1902-37; Clarence F. Stephenson 1937-45; Nevin C. Harner 1945-47; William T. Wickham 1948-69.
In 1970 it became the Development House, housing offices for public relations. 44. Description of Environment and Outbuildings The Development House faces on Greenfield Street, near the corner of Greenfield and Hedges Streets, not quite directly across from Laird Hall. 45.
