Distance from and Frontage on Road 30' Further Description of Important Features Elaborate Italianate structure with modillions under the eaves, louvered occuli in each gable, vertical windows with dripstones and stilted arched surrounds, a bracketed porch on two sides, flush siding under the porch, double entrances, and full height windows on the lower facade. History and Significance In 1856 C. Long owned this property and house. By 1874 J. Ligeet (Leggett?) owned the property, 50 acres. The structure is perhaps the most elaborate Italianate house in Bath Township, as well as a good example of adaptive use. Description of Environment and Outbuildings The house stands fairly near a major road leaning into the town of Ghent. There is a main highway immediately to the south.
