Further Description of Important Features The new steps added after 1937 lead to dbl a semi-elliptical doors that have a stone molding and a statue of St. Patrick above. Behind the statue are two stoined glass round arched windows in a decorative brick arch. Double gable roof with cross on facade. Square tower in south west corner has open belfry with hip roof and cross. Church frescoed in 1925. 43. History and Significance Parish begun in 1862 by Father Hennebery.

Loc church erected in 1863 was used when Precious Blood priests began serving parish. Frame church built in 1871 was used by people from St. Patrick and McCartyville until latter parish broke away in 1882. Land for present church donated by Mrs. Anna Schwartz. The Irish and the neighboring communities came to this predominantly Gman area. Present on the American Ohio Built in 1915. Key Irish remain. 44. Description of Interiors and Outbuildings Brick rectory built in 1919 west of church. Cemetery is to the east. Across the road is school built in 1906 with wing added in 1927 when it was purchased by the parish and used until 1955. Wks by the Cincinnati architect S.A. Further Description of Important Features There is a triple window in the centrally located hipped dormer. A one-story wrap around veranda porch along the front and the east side rests on seven large brick piers. The porch has a stone capped solid brick railing. The windows have stone lintels and sills. 43. History and Significance Before this rectory was built, St. Patrick's parish was attended by the priests at St. Michael in Ft. Loramie. Wishing to have a permanent residence for their own pastor, the parish erected this building for a sum of $6975 on land donated by Mrs. Anna Barhorst. 44. Description of Environment and Outbuildings To the east of the rectory is the St. Patrick Catholic Church. East of the church is the parish cemetery.
