This listing included the gristmill, covered bridge, sawmill, woolen U.S.G.S. map for the nomination was the Hatfield House, an 1890s frame structure whose historical relationships to the Barrett complex is unclear. Since the listing the woolen mill has burned and only the stone foundation remains. Due to the rugged nature of the terrain around the Barretts Mills complex, the original nomination.
It is requested that the nomination be amended to include them for they add to the appreciation and understanding of the history and mill operators and the mill pond and dam were of course essential for the operation of the woolen mill. Ohio Historic Inventory forms for these structures are included. The boundary amendment is shown on the enclosed map as a dotted line, and the Beginning at the corner of the existing boundary that is closest to the western end of the covered bridge, that point being approximately 100 feet downstream (north) from the bridge abutment, proceed northwest approximately 50 feet; then Beginning at the southern most corner of the existing boundary which is approxi- Road.
