Distance from and Frontage on Road <25' Further Description of Important Features Plain rectangular building with large tower and spire, which may have been added. Three tiers of windows over the central entrance on the tower. Spire has four gabled dormers. * History and Significance In 1857, Father Patrick Heneberry celebrated Mass with these Irish settlers. First frame church was built in 1860-61 and was named St. Thomas Church. This settlement was called "Six Mile" until the railroad was put through in 1877 on land donated by John Glynn. The name of the town was changed to "Glynnwood" at that time, and the church was renamed "St. Patrick." The cemetary retains the St. Thomas name. . Description of Environment and Outbuildings The church is built on a crossroads along the railroad track. Where once a bustling village of over 70 families lived, now only the memory survives.
