Further Description of Important Features The first floor of this commercial building features large plate glass windows separated by ornate cast iron columns. A small cornice with a dentil course separates the first and second floors. Paired windows, grouped by round arches are on the second floor. The interior has undergone some alterations. 43. History and Significance The David and Dague Grocery Store operated for many years in this building. Later, it was the post office, run by Walter and Grace Dale. For the past twenty years, it has been a restaurant. This is perhaps Fredericktown's most ornate commercial block. 44.
