The building's facade (east) is symmetrical rising from a foundation of rock-faced sandstone to a brick and sandstone parapet which bears a name plaque. The center entry is framed by square columns with channeling and rosettes; window trim varies by storey, although all is made of rock-faced sandstone. Beginning at the top of the first storey, two brick piers divide the wall into three sections, these piers rise to terracotta ventilators above the para- pet- Other decorations of the facade includes terracotta tiles (second storey) and a sandstone date plaque. sidewalls oi the Biiss Building are undecorated structures. The Bliss Building was constructed for William Bliss, the son- of Harrison Bliss, both of whom were real estate de- velopers in the Lincoln Square and downtown sections of Worcester.
