Description X original site X altered - moved The Henry County Sheriff's Residence and Jail are brick and stone structures erected Second Empire and High Victorian Gothic Styling, featuring a low mansard roof with one/one double hung sash, are arranged either in pairs or singly, and have plain entrance at the base and paired windows beneath a set of paired windows at the third story level beneath variegated segmental lintels. The tower is topped by a steeply An original wooden porch has been enclosed with brick walls detailed to match the original construction. cupula with pointed spine and acorn finial is centered on the roof of the block. The interior of the residence remains much as it was originally constructed with un- painted wide woodwork. Condition excellent fair entrances, which are covered by hoods supported by large wooden consoles with droplets.
