Distance from and Frontage on Road 10' 50' 42. Further Description of Important Features L-Story Yellow Brick, with limestone trim. Building adjoining Rosen Bldg., whose notable feature is the delineation. Sullivanesque (Curt roof terracotta) foliage, intertwining bays and some timed faces, with possible local influences. 2nd floor altered & carved capitals behind on all parapets. Center division have been removed above 2nd Street. Most central balconite design in center arch with double semi-circular overhead(2), aluminum joined brick, with aluminum finish. Carved packet bulls in center. Feature beams with intertwining tails. Name block = "Linneman" with orange emphasis, set down south corner astride block. 43. History and Significance MR. BINDEL STATED THAT IT WAS THE FIRST BUILDING IN LIMA WITH STEEL CROSS BEAMS. J.C. LINNEMAN WAS ITS REPRESENTATIVE, THE FIRST OWNER.

However, I think statements of significance for each, shared or adding their architectural similarities and their collective significance in this case, strengthening the significance of each. Further Description of Important Features 1-2 story yellow brick with limestone trim building adjoining Dorset Bldg., whose notible feature is its ornamentation. Sullivanesque (but not terracotta) foliage, intertwining busts and some thinnic faces, with possible Celtic influences. 1st floor altered - zigzag capitals remain on all capitals - 3 central pilasters have been remodeled into 2nd story. Most detail. Distinctive design is on center bay with double semi-circular orpanel? aluminum doors & remdto with aluminum sash. Circular bracket also in center - feature repeats with remaining tails. Name block "Linneman" with ornate graphics. Set -Mason, rough course ashlar blocks- 43. History and Significance MR. BINDEL STATED THAT THIS WAS THE FIRST BUILDING IN LIMA WITH STEEL CROSS BEAMS. Linneman who was apparently the first owner, served on the Hotel Board, was instrumental in building the water works, significant, with Dorset Building, for fine Sullivanesque carving. While the first floor and windows have been altered, the major items of significance, the stone carving, has not been affected. This is probably, along with the Dorset Building, the most ornately carved stone building in the city. 44. Description of Environment and Outbuildings 45.
