Historical significance (include explanation of themes checked above) This imposing Stick Style house in pristine condition stands in what was formerly the back garden of another notable house, the Waterhouse home. Number 10 Follen has the basic blocklike shape of mansard-roofed houses of the previous decade, but the roof is a high truncated hip rather than a mansard. The trim, particularly around the rather elaborate front porch, is typical of the 1870s. Designed by the firm of Peabody and Stearns the house retains almost all of its original decoration both inside and out. NOV 1 4 1980 10.
