It was built in 1856 and is an excellent example of a type of pattern book Italian villa not found elsewhere in Cambridge in original form. The house was designed by architect John Webber and built by Moses and Jedidiah Ricker, local carpenters. Other features include quoins on the two lower stories supporting cornice below attic story, paired arched windows under large corniclon ground floor, and a large ornamented porch. 10.
