In addition to the carving and iron work by sculptor Fjelde, the bank's interior ceilings contains murals by Alfred Rasmussen, the noted Boston portrait painter and' muralist. The building was undertaken at the depths of the Depression to provide work for East Cambridge craftsmen. It contains a variety and richness of materials that is unequalled in the Boston area, and is a unique example of its type- The Bank added a prize-winning addition in 1978. NOV 1 4 1980 10.
