Ihe bays show Bracketed Itallanate 1niluence.
The gable roof contains a widely-spaced pair of gabled dormers. The set back and size of this residence preserves an image of the prestigious homes which developed along u8, then catied Massachusetts Avenue, then called North Avenue, in the mid to late nineteenth century. The Farwe11 House, and its two nearby neighbors at 2200 and 2210 Massachusetts Avenue are the best surviving group of houses from this period and crucial to identifying this phase of growth in Northwest Cambridge. 10.
