Frost won four Pulitizer Prizes for his poetry, which was marked by the use of everyday language and home images drawn from his rural New England surroundings. Frost was among the most honored poets during his lifetime; he was awarded more than forty honorary degrees and was a consultant in poetry to the Library of Congress. In 1962 Frost was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal. AON 1980 10.
