Historical significance (include explanation of themes checked above) I'he Reardon House Is an extremely fine example Of domestic Queen Anne architecture and derives historical importance from its association with the Reardon family. Their large soap factory was located several blocks away. The front slope of the hip roof sweeps down forming the roof of the second story porch as well. Additional features of this exuberant Queen Anne design include half-timbering and a triple panel of carved wooden ornament in the facade gable. Edmuna Reardon was also an alderman from 1870 to 1877 and a common councilman from 1874 to 1875. 10.
