Although Cambridge dates from the 1820's and was a National Road town of some import, little survives from the early days nor from the late deposits of oil, gas, and coal were discovered. Thus, the city's The McCreary-Burnworth House, however, is a significant survival notable for the extremely fine, original, ornamental porch on the facade, unique in the city.
