As a result of this -research in various Atlas' for the City of Toledo, we can sub- 1904 and 1913. Five available Atlas' were utilized--1881, 1891, 1904, 1913 and 1930. These books delineate the shape and mode of construction of every structure in the city. Upon inspection, it was found that the central brick block had no porches before 1904, shown in the 1930 fire insurance Atlas. Furthermore, the use of the segmental arch on the sides of the porches, and most notably first floor canopies, indicate an early 20th century construction on the tower cap of the northerly Queen Anne wing section. and that it is a unique combination of two important architectural We feel that, although the porches were not part of the original building, they were added well before 1932 (50 year time-limit), and have been part of Riverview Apts. for at least 70 years.
