Designed in the Tudor Revival style, it rests on a slightly raised house are laid in a running bond pattern, and the three-bay front facade is dominated by a prominent central entry porch, a 2 1/2 story wall dormer, and a tall brick walls. Windows in the front facade are clustered in groups of three, and stone trim is employed around windows and doors. A large gabled port-cochere, extending off the east side of the house, displays Craftsman influence in its exposed rafters and been altered, but the mantel was retained, and the bathroom still has its original wall tile, tub, and wood towel closets. Many of the other interior walls, however, have building has been the replacement of the multipane first-floor windows with double- hung 1/1 wood sash windows (date unknown).
Viall Lodge's setting displays a high degree of integrity, with mature trees, surrounding lawns, and metal fences supported by stone columns.
