Population over time
2 figuresMutual grew from 104 to 127 between 2010 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

3 since 2011The National Weather Service names Mutual in 3 storm reports between 2011 and 2015: 1 hail, 1 tornado, 1 thunderstorm wind. No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date opens the federal record of that event.
| When | Event | Place named | Harm | What the report says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| July 2014 | Tornado (EF0) | Mutual | $15,000 | The tornado touched down along U.S. Route 36, approximately two tenths of a mile northeast of the intersection with Yocom Road. Damage was primarily confined to the properties of two adjacent residences on the south side of U.S. Route 36. The most substantial damage occurred to a double wide manufactured home that lost half of its roof from the northwest side of the structure. The shingles and rafters were lifted over the home...and deposited immediately to the south. A 20 foot tall apple tree located 60 feet southwest of the home was uprooted and fell to the southeast. Numerous smaller limbs, mostly less than 3 inches in diameter, were broken from a willow tree located approximately 100 feet southeast of the home. These limbs were strewn to the east for approximately 175 feet into a neighboring yard. |
| June 2015 | Thunderstorm Wind | Mutual | $5,500 | Half of a metal roof from a barn was peeled back. Also an upstairs window was blown out. |
| May 2011 | Hail | Mutual | - | no account filed |
