February 2020	Flood	Thurman	1 killed, $5,000	Multiple roads were closed across the county due to flooding, including State Route 325, State Route 233, and State Route 141. On the evening of the 14th, a 73 year old man drowned in the flood waters at the intersection of State Route 141 and German Ridge Road. The man drove his car into the high water and was overcome by the rushing water.
June 2012	Thunderstorm Wind	Thurman	$2,500,000	Scattered locations throughout the county had large trees and branches blown down. The most concentrated damage in Gallipolis appeared along 4th Avenue. Monuments were damaged in area cemeteries by fallen trees. Around 8,500 customers lost electricity. The public infrastructure damage assessment was around $639,000.
