St.Patrick's Church has its gable facing Centre St. cross above.There are three lancet windows on each side of the building. Peter Manor, founder of Providence, first began trade with the Ottawas Manor was the first white settler of Providence Township, locating in in 1809. He was a favorite of the Ottawa Indians, even during the War for this land, executed in 1827, reads..."There is granted by the United States unto Sawen-de-bans, or the Yellow Hair, or Peter Manor, an« adopted son of Tondogamie, and his heirs, out of the tract reserved de Boeuf, a section of land containing 643 acres, on the north side of the Maumee River, at Wolf Rapids." five hotels and four general stores, all owned and run by Manor.
The labor force for the canal turned Providence into a bawdy, rather rough the height of Providence's prosperity, did Manor erect his own home in Commerce Conservation Communications SIGNIFICANCE losophy Engineering Aboriginal Literature Theater Architecture Military Education Art lines disappeared.

Providence was laid out on this tract by Manor in 1835 and soon became of 18l2.He and his family sons) settled with the 0ttawas in their the Ottawas)by the Treaty of Detroit in 1807,above the Roche SPECIFIC DATE(S) (If Applicable and Known) In 1839 Manor's wife died, leaving seven children. Not until 1845, at along the Maumee River while employed by the Northwest Fur Trade Co.
