Police in Rocky River reported an ice jam on the Rocky River near the Metropark marina. The ice jam broke free around 1 pm and travelled about 2 miles to the mouth of the river into Lake Erie. The lake had been frozen over, but strong southwest gales were able to break up the mouth of the Rocky River sufficiently to allow the ice jam to move out of the river. Numerous docks and boats were damaged along the river, including a marina in the Metropark.
Thunderstorm winds downed several trees from Lakewood to the west side of Cleveland. A truck was crushed by one of the trees in Lakewood. At least 23,500 utility customers lost power during this event.
A snapped tree fell onto a garage in Lakewood and a tree fell onto a truck about three-miles NNE of Linndale. Farther east along the same straight-line wind damage path, multiple trees were snapped and the roof was torn off a warehouse in the Gordon Square District of Cleveland.

Description of the property
blocks, with the smaller dependent one set at right angles to the main doors, woodwork, and hardware are all original. The only alteration UNEXPOSED CONDITION one of the east rooms to the largest room upstairs. The stairways, DETERIORATED FAIR is that the original kitchen has been divided into two parts. UNALTERED openings vary in proportion, with the entrance having a transom and The house stands on a large corner city lot with several sheltering in the spandrels. The door and window openings are segmental-arched double doors, and the windows of the dependent wing being extra tall jigsawed ornament forming a toothed arch on brackets with quatrefoils cellar entrance with hatch doors. and set within a rectangular frame with a gabled molding above.

W. F. Allen, the B. A. Stanard, a ship with a capacity of 28,000 Pennsylvania, and Ohio ore docks in Cleveland. In 1892 Capt. Day moved 1500-1599 1400-1499 1600-1699 PHILOSOPHY ARCHEOLOGY-HISTORIC ART PERIOD BUILDER/ARCHITECT THEATER SIGNIFICANCE AGRICULTURE CONSERVATION ARCHITECTURE INVENTION RELIGION 1900- MILITARY _EXPLORATION/SETTLEMENT MUSIC _ENGINEERING Stockwell in Cleveland. _COMMUNICATIONS well-preserved example of mid-Victorian architecture, and the best captain and the builder and superintendent of the ore docks at Conneaut, _1700-1799 for the handling of ore which was used for many years. He also _EDUCATION simplified the connections between the rail lines and the ore docks. XINDUSTRY Capt.Erastus Day was married in 1854 and acquired the property for shipboard activity and was placed in charge of the ore docks of A.B. In nine years he was the master ofa ship carrying 9,ooo bushels of commission business. In l872 he became superintendent of the New York, Ohio, at the end of the nineteenth century. his home in Lakewood in 1874.The house is a nicely-detailed and chain of ore docks.His success was known all over the Great Lakes. wheat.
