Flooding developed quickly across Greenville County during mid-evening. Numerous automobiles were stranded in water in the southern and eastern parts of the county. Flash flooding occurred around Fork Shoals, along highway 25 south of Greenville, and along Jones Mill Rd east of Fountain Inn. Gilder Creek flooded from Mauldin downstream to the Enoree River. Water from the flooded creek covered a bridge at E Georgia Rd.
Overflowing creeks caused flooding of roads and bridges. Rescues from vehicles were required around Ashmore Bridge Rd, Neely Ferry Rd, and nearby sections. Some homes were also flooded in Simpsonville.
