May 1994Thunderstorm WindLometa6 hurt, $5,000,000A downburst that caused F2-like damage hit Lometa and areas up to three miles to the east. Wind speeds were estimated at 115 mph by the survey team, based on the damage pattern. Virtually every structure in town received damage, either from high winds or wind-driven baseball-size hail. The damage path through Lometa was north-to-south with buildings facing north having paint sand-blasted off from the wind. One house, one mile east of Lometa, had holes in steel siding from wind-driven hail. Trees three to four feet in diameter were blown down. On the west side of town, a tractor-semitrailer was blown over and pushed 20 feet before coming to rest. One mobile home, which was tied down, was not blown over by the wind, but in the center of the mobile home, where there were no tie downs, the damage was severe. The mobile home was still destroyed, but there were no injuries as the residents had taken shelter elsewhere before the storm struck.
June 2007Tornado (EF0)Kempner1 hurt, $100,000Several modular homes were damaged as a brief tornado touched down off of FM 2657, on Sleepy Hollow Lane and Carroll Drive, just inside the Lampasas County line. Homes sustained roof and deck damage and a few were blown slightly off their foundations. Trees and fences were also torn down. One minor injury was reported when a woman was hit by flying debris. Eighteen residents were displaced. The tornado continued into Coryell County.
May 1994HailLometa$500,000The severe thunderstorm which struck Lometa was accompanied by wind-driven golf ball to baseball-size hail. Considerable damage was reported on the north side of structures, with penetration of roofs and even steel siding in one instance. Crops in the area of the wind-driven hail were destroyed.
April 2016FloodLampasas$300,000Late newspaper reports indicated emergency personnel rescued nine people for high water after several residences were flooded by rain and heavy rain over the past few days. Approximately nine people were pulled from the flood waters. Water forced at least five additional persons to be displaced due to the flood.
May 2007Flash FloodLampasas$300,000Flooding was reported along Highways 183 and 190 near the city. Water was as high as four feet on Highway 183. Evacuations were required near Mesquite Creek. Numerous low water crossings were barricaded. About twenty apartments and several homes were damaged by high water and deemed unihabitable. Many of the residents lost most of their possessions. In addition, the School Creek Bridge was washed away, with the road closed indefinitely.
March 2010Thunderstorm WindLampasas$175,000A building on Highway 190 E, east of Lampasas, was heavily damaged by high winds. The building suffered partial roof loss and partially collapsed walls. Seven units at a nearby storage facility were also damaged by 2x6 timbers and debris from the building. Timbers were also driven into a nearby double-wide mobile home, and a window was broken out at the residence. Some timbers were sticking up out of the ground around the residence. One 50-60' tall elm tree near the home was snapped in half and fell on a car. Only minor dents were sustained to the car. Also nearby, a fireworks stand was destroyed.
May 2015Tornado (EF1)Rumley$85,000A National Weather Service damage survey team found evidence of a tornado approximately four miles to the northwest of Kempner. This tornado occurred nearly simultaneously with a tornado near Lampasas. This tornado produced damage to several buildings, including two houses where large sections of roof damage.
March 2010Thunderstorm WindLampasas$75,000A 60 foot tall oak tree was uprooted and crashed into a residence on 4th street in Lampasas. The house was significantly damaged. Also in Lampasas, the roof was blown off a portable building at the Lampasas Middle School.

While occurring mainly over open ranch land, the tornado first occurred near U.S. 281, before moving east for about a mile. Tree damage was along the path, and one structure was damaged.
