There were 8 families that were rescued from the high water. There were 28 people that were placed in a local shelter due to the flooding. ||The flood devastated the city of Gregory and the Tradewinds Subdivision 5 miles north of Gregory. In Gregory, 80 percent of the homes were flooded. There were 496 homes with minor damage and 16 homes with major damage. There were 28 businesses in Gregory that received minor damage. In the Tradewinds Subdivision, 26 homes were flooded.

A total of 78 homes were flooded in the cities of Sinton, Ingleside, and Aransas Pass. Sixteen residents in Sinton were evacuated from their homes during the flooding. 17 homes and 3 business were affected by flooding in Ingleside.

The tornado moved north through the Portland Northshore Country Club producing mainly tree, roof, and fence damage. The tornado moved north into the Bay Ridge subdivision and strengthened. The tornado damaged around 50 homes and several vehicles. Of the homes damaged, 8 received major damage and 15 received minor damage. Maximum sustained winds were estimated to be near 100 mph in this area.

Minor damage to moveable bleachers occurred at Gregory-Portland High School with wood and tin debris littering the area. Trees, fences, signs, and power lines were downed on north side of Portland. A barn was destroyed, also. Straight-line winds were estimated to be as high as 100 mph on the northwest side of Portland. Winds of 60 to 70 mph along with marble sized hail produced widespread roof damage to homes throughout Portland.

The tornado crossed Highway 181 knocking over a utility pole and caused tree damage. The tornado snapped 3 utility poles as it crossed County Road 73 about 1 mile north of Taft. The tornado continued for another couple of miles passing through a subdivision near the intersection of County Road 98 and County Roads 77A and 77B, about 3 miles north northeast of Taft. An 18 wheeler was flipped. Large trees were snapped and nearly 20 homes were damaged in that subdivision. The tornado dissipated in a field northeast of the subdivision. Maximum winds were estimated to be around 90 mph.

Intermittent damage to trees and crops occurred along this line along with power lines blown down.

September 2007Tornado (EF1)Aransas Pass$250,000The waterspout moved onshore as a tornado near the corner of Amberjack Street and Pompano Drive. The tornado continued on an east-southeast path to the northern loop of Oak Park Drive in Aransas Pass. This tornado was rated as an EF-1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. EF-0 damage was found along most of the track, however EF-1 damage was found near Arch Street and Spencer Street where the greatest damage occurred with winds of around 100 mph. The width of the tornado was roughly 25-50 yards wide through most of its lifespan, but was briefly 100 yards wide at its greatest width.||Damage included several uprooted trees, large tree limps snapped, removal of a portion of terracotta roofing from a house, minor roof damage to several homes and a severely damaged brick facade at the Dollar General Store. In addition, the roof and steel awning at the Fresenius Medical Care Center was damaged. Several street signs were also knocked down and damage occurred to several vehicles.||No fatalaties were reported, however one injury was reported from flying glass at a tire store.|

The tornado was approximately 1/4 mile wide, and on the ground for roughly 2.51 miles in San Patricio County before crossing into Bee County. The tornado then continued roughly another 5 miles to the east-southeast on the Bee and San Patricio County line, or just inside the Bee County line. Crops were flattened, several large crop sprinklers flipped over, a shed was partially destroyed, and power poles snapped along the path. Maximum wind speeds of 90 mph were estimated.
