Population over time
2 figuresBarry fell from 242 to 220 between 2010 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate, and an estimate published within five years of a census is left out. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

| March 2012 | Flash Flood | Barry | $500,000 | County Road 2005 was closed due to high water and both northbound lanes of Interstate 45 at mile marker 231 were shut down due to flooding. Storm total rainfall within the county exceeded 6 inches. Multiple roads were reported to be washed out and there was also damage to culverts and bridges. This tornado moved north and northeast of Barry, impacting several residences and outbuildings along Navarro County roads 1210 and 1230. Most of the structural damage was confined to roofs and outbuilding sheet metal and was consistent with damage intensities of EF-0 and lower end EF-1 magnitude. However, one manufactured home along CR 1230 was totally destroyed, consistent with EF-1 winds of approximately 110 mph. This tornado eventually dissipated in the Chambers Creek drainage west of Rice. |
