The first noted damage was just south of the intersection of US Highway 70 and Farm to Market Road 303. At this location, EF0 damage was observed with two center pivot irrigation systems tipped over. Also, large tree branches of diameter one to three inches were broken. The most significant damage was discovered just north of the intersection of US Highway 70 and County Road 99. An electrical transmission line was snapped at the base which indicates EF2 damage.
June 2008HailEarth$25,000Law enforcement officials reported giant softball size hail near U.S. Highway 70 west of Earth, just east of the Bailey and Lamb County line. The hail damaged several vehicles and a few rural residences.
April 2025HailEarth-A swath of hail was observed along US Highway 70 between Springlake and Earth ranging in size from pennies to ping pong ball size. Significant hail damage was observed to vehicles in and around Earth.
September 2024Thunderstorm WindEarth-A Texas tech University West Texas mesonet site near Earth measured severe wind gusts from 2043 CST through 2054 CST. A peak wind gust of 69 mph was measured at 2043 CST. Additionally, wind driven hail damaged an anemometer on the mesonet site.

June 2007HailEarth-The isolated tornadic supercell continued to move southward out of Castro County and produced a swath of large hail over much of Lamb County. The Earth Fire Department initially reported golf ball size hail two miles north of Earth. Golf ball size hail was additionally reported three miles northwest of Springlake at 19:56 CST. Skywarn spotters continued to report quarter size hail southwest of Fieldton at 20:51 CST, and penny to quarter size hail northwest of Littlefield along U.S. Highway 84 between 21:55 and 22:19 CST. Severe wind gusts also accompanied the storm.
June 2007Tornado (EF0)Earth-Several storm chasers and Skywarn spotters observed a brief tornado east of Farm to Market Road 1055 south of Earth. The tornado remained in open fields and no damage was reported.
