As this cluster of thunderstorms moved near the town of Miami (Roberts County), the KVII schoolnet site 8 miles northwest of Miami (Roberts County) reported a 59 mph thunderstorm downburst. After producing this downburst the cluster of thunderstorms continued to move to the southeast.
May 2014HailMiami-A line of thunderstorms developed in response to a cold front moving through the southeastern Texas Panhandle during the late evening hours of the 11th. As the line moved over the town of Miami (Roberts County), a law enforcement official reported nickel size hail (0.88 inch). After producing this hail the line continued to slowly move to the east.

As this broken line of storms moved over the town of Miami (Roberts County), a storm chaser estimated a 63 mph thunderstorm downburst snapped several large branches off trees on Main Street (Roberts County). After producing this gust the line of thunderstorms continued moving eastward across the Panhandle.

After producing this gust the line of thunderstorms continued moving eastward across the Panhandle.

As the line neared the town of Miami (Roberts County), local law enforcement reported an estimated 70 mph thunderstorm downburst gust which damaged two homes. After producing this downburst gust the line continued to move to the south-southeast across the Texas Panhandle.
May 2013Thunderstorm WindMiami-A squall line moved across Roberts County during the afternoon hours of the 29th. A National Weather Service employee ten miles to the northwest of Mobeetie estimated a 60 mph gust as the storm pass over their location. The storm also produced pea size hail. No damage reports accompanied this report.
September 2013Heavy RainMiami-A broken line of thunderstorms moved across the Texas Panhandle during the evening hours of the 27th. This line of thunderstorms was able to tap into a highly moist atmosphere which allowed the production of heavy rain. The KVII Schoolnet site at Robert Clark Ranch (Roberts County) recorded a storm total accumulation of 2.72 inches. No reports of flooding were associated to this heavy rain.
September 2013Heavy RainMiami-A cluster of thunderstorms developed over Roberts County during the evening hours of the 13th. These thunderstorms moved slowly and produced heavy rain over portions of the county. This heavy rain led to a member of the public reporting minor flooding of their property west of State Highway 70 along North River Road (Roberts County). The minor flooding stayed contained to the yard and did not enter the home. This minor flooding dissipated once storm coverage diminished by 7 PM CST. No swift water rescues or stranded motorist were reported in association to this minor flooding.
February 2012Tornado (EF0)Miami-This is the second segment of a tornado which formed ten miles south southwest of Miami just north of Texas State Highway 152 in Gray county at 0042CST. The tornado exited Gray county and entered into Roberts county at 0055CST about six miles south southeast of Miami Texas in Roberts county and exited Roberts county at 0100CST about six and a half miles south of Lora Texas, which is located on the Roberts county and Hemphill county line. The tornado traveled northeastward for about two and a half miles. The tornado was rated an EF0 as there was no report of damage in Roberts county. The tornado had a maximum width of one hundred yards. There were no reports of injuries or fatalities.
