These gusty winds combined with saturated soils produced conditions that allowed some trees to fall. One fell on a vehicle traveling along FM 777 near Jasper killing 2 occupants. The driver died instantly while the passenger a couple house later.

A COCORAHS report from near Kirbyville reported 7 inches of rain during the morning.
