So many power lines were topped that power outages lasted for several weeks in many areas. Power companies from Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas and Texarkana, AR were called in to help with the repairs.

Just after 830 pm a bow-echo developed on the south end of the line in Southern Comanche County and began accelerating rapidly to the northeast, sometimes reaching speeds of 70 miles an hour. During the next several hours a series of bow echos produced wind damage from Hamilton County northeastward across Bosque, Johnson, Ellis, Dallas, Collin, Rockwall, Hunt, and Delta Counties.

This supercell made a gradual transition into a squall line with a line-echo wave pattern on doppler radar. A family of 6 weak tornadoes were produced across 2 states and 5 counties. Damage path consisted of snapped and fallen limbs. The damage path was in a wooded region away from any population with no structures present. Without a survey the tornado would have been unreported.
