Trees were stripped of their leaves and hail was piled up to 12 inches deep in places. Cars were dented and windows were broken in homes and buildings. Grass and vegetation was reported to have been beaten to the ground in the storm. The thunderstorm moved northeastward but produced no large hail in Mason.
