June 2011FloodOtto$145,000Snowmelt waters traveled down the Greybull River and combined with heavy rain from thunderstorms to create lowland flooding along the river upstream of Greybull. Lane 40 1/2 and Road 5 southwest of Burlington were both inundated by water. The river tried to reroute itself in the vicinity of Road 5. This led county road and bridge employees to construct a new dike to protect one residence and a road.

The water also inundated low-lying areas along the west side of US Highway 16. The right-of-way fence along the highway was barely showing and nearby barrow pits were almost full.
