Population over time

2 figures

Locust Fork grew from 1,186 to 1,192 between 2010 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate, and an estimate published within five years of a census is left out. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

The survey team found a broad area impacted by damaging winds generally across portions of Blount County west of Locust Fork. Damage surveyors found widespread small tree limb damage with a few large tree limbs down and a couple of uprooted trees sporadically through the wind damage area. There was no signature of convergence or divergence observed in the wind damage pattern, indicative of straight line winds. The majority of the area appeared to experience damaging winds from 40-50 mph with a pocket of higher winds from 50-60 mph. Much of the structural damage observed in the area appeared to be the result of falling tree limbs or tree limbs falling onto power lines, although some smaller sheds were flipped or demolished.
