Named in the 1878 county history

The history of Wayne County was published 14 years before the first of these atlases, and it names this establishment.

now Mrs. W. L. Firestone, resides in Wooster, and Flora Eliza is still under the paternal roof. In 1871 Mr. Banker was again married, his bride being Miss Alvira Barnes, who has borne him two sons: Arthur L. and George August. Mr. Banker is in the fullest sense of the word a self-made man, and the competence he has acquired and the honorable place he holds in the community are the rewards won by his untiring industry, honesty and upright life. He fills a large place in the public affairs of his adopted city.
