A Happy Hunting Ground

In the early days Fall Creek township was one of the best "hunting grounds/' not only for the red men but later for their pale-faced brothers. It was in this section that the Indians who were murdered by Bridges and Sawyer were hunting and the fine furs and pelts in their possession, coveted by the two whites, were the direct cause of the murders.
