One tree landed on a home and damaged it. Building material from roofs was also blown off in the downtown area. The material that blew off also damaged adjacent buildings.

June 2001	Thunderstorm Wind	Long Prairie	$50,000	Semi trailer flipped over. Sheds, silos, and numerous trees down. Damage caused by rear flank downdraft that accompanies tornado. As determined by NWS damage survey.

June 2013	Flash Flood	Long Prairie	-	Very heavy rainfall began across Todd County after 1145 PM CST, Thursday, June 20th. Due to the extreme rainfall rates that continued through 100 AM CST, Friday, June 21st, 4th Street, south of Long Prairie, was inundated with flood waters. The heavy rainfall tapered off after 1 AM CST, June 21st, and flood waters slowly receded during the early morning hours. Parts of the Highway 71 southbound lane near Long Prairie had water covering the lane through 4 AM CST.

March 2009	Flood	Long Prairie	-	Several reports of flooding along the Long Prairie River as the river began to crest, with one road partially closed due to flood waters.

July 2003	Tornado (F0)	Long Prairie	-	This tornado trekked through mostly heavily wooded areas, but did hit one home on the Todd/Morrison county line. Numerous trees were snapped and the house sustained shingle and soffit damage before the tornado crossed into Morrison County. This tornado was associated with the storm that produced downburst damage from 1455 to 1505 from 9 NE Browerville to 5 N Swanville.
