BOSTON, SEPT. 22. The second ascension, of Mr. Guide, in his Balloon, took place on Thursday af afternoon, - ternoon, afternoon, at 5 minutes before 4 o'clock, from the centre of Washington Gardens. The process of filling commenced in the forenoon, so that the intrepid JEreonaut was ready to ascend precisely been blowing gently from the north-east for two days, and Mr. G. probably think thinking - ing thinking he should be carried several miles to the westward, entered into his car at that early hour, in order to return sea seasonably - sonably seasonably in the evening. The Balloon ascended majestically to a great height, and hung for a long time directly over the common, inclining at first a little to the west of his point of departure ; but having reached the " upper air," a counter current, gently wafted him to the eastward, past the centre of the town, until he was suspended over the harbour; and Col. The King's Visit to Ireland. - Thd King left his palace on the 31st of July, on a visit to Ireland, about the time the Queen's indisposition commenced. The populace followed, shouting, "God savd George IV." The same evening ha slept on board the yacht at Portsmouth harbour, and the next day the yacht sailed with the accompanying fleet to toward - ward toward Cowes. The news of the Queen's death reached him at Holyhead. The following letter was received in Londow the 11 th of August, . " Holyhead, Thursday evening, 6 o'clock. " The King's messenger has brought the met. an cho J y intelligence of her Majesty's dissolu dissolution. - tion. dissolution. " His Majesty's yacht it now preparing to get out of harbour. The wind continues west* erly, hut the agitation of the sea ha» abated. It is understood to be the King's intention to sail with the first wind for Dublin, but to land in the most private manner possible. It is further said, that hi* Majesty, on his arrival.ia Ireland, will repair immediately to the Phcrnix Park, near Dublin, where he will remain pri* vate antil after her Majesty's funeral." All the branches of the Royal fam family, - ily, family, in or near London, who had heard of the death of the Queen, appeared in mourning dn the 9th ; as did those of the King's and the different Royal establishments. DEFERRED ARTICLES. (From the New-York Evening Post] Dreadful Shipwreck. The Earl Moira packet sailed from Liverpool for Dublin, on the night of the Sth of Angus., and at 9 o'clock the same evening, struck.on a bank between Mock Beggar and Hoylake, on the Cheshire shore, and capsized. She is" said to have had upwards of 150 pas passengers, - sengers, passengers, many of the highest respecta respectability, - bility, respectability, who were going to Dublin to see the King of England. There were 45 cabin passengers on board, most of whom it is supposed perished. The master and all hands, with the exception of the steward, were drowned. Almost all the passengers below deck perished; many of the others took refuge in the rigging, where they remained all night, and from 50 to 60 were taken up in the morning by the Hoylake life-boat. new-york, SEPT. 15.
