Population over time
2 figuresBlanco grew from 388 to 491 between 2010 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate, and an estimate published within five years of a census is left out. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

Storms near this place
3 since 2010Regional context, not property-specific evidence. The National Weather Service names Blanco in 3 storm reports between 2010 and 2017: 2 flash flood, 1 hail. No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date opens the federal record of that event.
| When | Event | Place named | Harm | What the report says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| September 2010 | Flash Flood | Blanco | $2,000 | Flash flooding occurred along CR4990. A damage survey found that several arroyos flow from the higher terrain to the south of the road northward into the San Juan River. Though radar indicates that the brunt of the precipitation fell to the south of the road, the road became impassible at several locations as there was evidence that a large swath of mud and water flowed across the road, underneath some nearby raised residences. Since these homes were elevated, they did not receive any damage inside. The storm moved east-northeast near the intersection of CR4990 and CR4550, just south of Blanco, where there was some evidence that high waters flowed there recently. |
| July 2017 | Flash Flood | Blanco | - | U.S. Highway 64 completely flooded at mile marker 74. Roadway closed. |
| October 2012 | Hail | Blanco | - | The Chief of Police in Bloomfield stated he had golf ball size hail at his home SE of Bloomfield in the late morning. Via email correspondence. |
