The front (west) side a large porch in the early part of this century, whichwas in turn removed in 1947 by the present occupants. The small porch has not been rebuilt, however the original also.

Most of the window glass is original. To the rear of the south side of the house, and flush with it, is a two-story, bedroom over kitchen, ell. This ell was built in 1835 and the family lived here walls are three. All doors, both interior and exterior are original and are heavy windows, baseboards, and mantels are paneled and carved with formal detail. All entrance, originally a dressing room, is now the bathroom.

windows in the front four rooms are recessed to the floor with paneling below the random widths. The center hall has a delicate stairway with a cherry banister. were originally connected by ceiling-high folding paneled doors. The doors opened onto the porches.The foundation is sandstone. Statement of significance

and was the home of one of Ohio's prominent politicians, Renick Dunlap. The Bellevue was built by Col.William Entrekin, son of John Entrekin an early married Jane Bell, a relative of George Renick, a famed cattle breeder and drover.

The facade reflects the influence of the Federal style, but the house is deeper than would be associated with the Federal period.

The two-story, banistered porch is clearly a southern touch, as is the wide center hall and 1840 when it was built.
