The older part is a 2½-story building, laid in common bond, with is located in the west half of the front, through a restrained single trabeated door. beyond the exterior wall of the south side of the house, and thus serves to shelter a slate porch on this side. The roof is supported by four large tapered wooden pillars. Built against the west gable of the earlier home is a later brick addition, laid became the front side of the house, and with its construction, the complete building became ell-shaped. It is a five-bay structure, with the main doorway centered on the extends across the interior bays of this side, and features some gingerbread detailing that the southernmost section of the addition, containing the south bay, collapsed in collapsed section using the same brick.
