Chillicothe Business District DESCRIPTION _MOVED DATE. parallel chains of rugged hills. The business district of Chillicothe, shown on the attached map includes the center of that area which by 1797 had been settled by several shops, stores and a mill. Tax records show that by 1819 Chillicothe contained 220 houses, By 1850 the number of houses had risen to 1,300.
