Description of the property

This one and one-half story house is built of sandstone, laid in an ashlar shed roof, added around 1900, covers the center three bays, is supported by slender The interior of the house has been altered, although most of the changes are The house features three rooms in the stone portion downstairs, with all windows now called the "wagon shed" contains a set of old stock weighing scales still in working order. Just west of it is a former corn crib, now used for storage. Statement of significance

Hugh Broom, for whom the house was built, was an early religious leader, in Cambridge township, as well as other parcels in 1840. The house is located on the Old Birmingham Road, one of the oldest roads in the county (built 1818).
